Engage your students in the mysteries of Space!

This resource gives students a fantastic introduction to The Sun i.e. a definition of the Sun, its composition, its importance, where it is located, etc.

This lesson is part of a 5-lesson introductory unit on Space (Click here to purchase all 5 lessons together). After teaching the 5 lessons, I ask the students to complete a research project on any space related topic of their choosing (Click here to purchase Space Project for $2). I am always amazed at how interested my students are in Space and how motivated they are to learn more about it. Have fun!!

This Lesson Includes:

- A definition of the Sun

- The location of the Sun

- How the Sun affects life on Earth

- The composition of the Sun

- The energy the Sun emits

- The effects of Solar Storms

- 7 Discussion/Comprehension questions

- Answer Key

It is a good activity, but my students finished it in ten minutes. I wouldn't say it was good value for money. The question page had insufficient space for some answers, and too much for others. Would have been nice to edit the activity to differentiate it.
