From the development of many technologies such as metalworking, glassmaking, and irrigation to the creation of the first written language, the impact this civilization had is truly remarkable. Through studying Mesopotamia, we can better understand the many ways in which this civilization contributed to our modern way of life. For this project students will study Mesopotamia and create a project to showcase their learning.

This resource guides students through the process of conducting their own research report on Ancient Mesopotamia. First, students learn how to properly conduct research without plagiarizing their sources. After researching, students choose how to showcase their learning by creating a poster board, presentation board, PowerPoint, or dodecahedron (Dodecahedron Instructions and templates are included). Afterwards, students present their learning to the class and self-assess their achievement.
