Engage your students in creating Japanese style Kokedamas!
In Japan, the Kokedama, is a popular planting style in which the root ball of a plant is shaped into a sphere and covered in moss. These plants are beautiful on display and are especially striking when wrapped in twine and hung from a height.
This resource guides students through the process of creating their own Kokedama string garden.

Garden-Based Learning (GBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which the garden is the foundation for learning. Students are challenged to actively engage in real-world experiences in an outside learning environment. It is a form of active learning or inquiry-based learning. Garden-Based Learning is in contrast to paper-based, rote memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established facts. Please be aware of what you are purchasing.
Thanks so much,

Excellent resource. I used it as a foundation to use with many different types of plants.
