Inspire and engage your students in studying the fascinating sport of football!
Since the first American football game was played between two college teams in 1869, people have been fascinated with this fast-paced, exciting sport. Today, American football is massive commercial enterprise that averages 17.3 million television viewers per game. From the original Arizona Cardinals and the Chicago Bears, to the newest created team, the Houston Texans, the National Football League continues to expand as its influence grows. After researching, students choose how to showcase their learning by creating a poster board, presentation board, PowerPoint, or dodecahedron (Dodecahedron Instructions and templates are included). Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which students are challenged to actively learn about a subject for an extended period of time. It is a form of active learning or inquiry-based learning. Project-Based Learning is in contrast to paper-based, rote memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established facts.
